Samuel Henry

Sam has a broad civil and commercial practice, with experience in business, property, construction, trust, estate, employment and insolvency litigation.

He has also acted for clients involved in criminal and regulatory prosecutions, including under environmental and health and safety legislation.

Sam has appeared for individuals, businesses and other entities in multiple courts, tribunals and mediations.

Before joining Chambers, Sam worked as a senior litigation lawyer at mid-size Christchurch firm, Young Hunter, where he commenced practice in 2014. Earlier in his career, he was a winner of the National Young Lawyers’ Mooting Competition.

Sam graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. While studying, he worked as a Faculty of Law tutor and research assistant.

Sam is based in Christchurch and available to accept instructions from clients throughout New Zealand.
